Job Overview.

We are seeking a passionate, customer-focused, and energetic Barista to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and contributing to a welcoming café experience for customers.

Job Description

  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Operate and maintain coffee machines and related equipment in good working condition.
  • Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and deliver prompt, friendly service.
  • Recommend beverages and complementary items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
  • Monitor stock levels and report replenishment needs in a timely manner.
  • Assist in receiving, organizing, and ensure availability of items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, equipment, and customer service areas throughout the day.
  • Follow food safety, health, and hygiene regulations consistently.
  • Process customer payments accurately and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
  • Reconcile daily sales and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Support promotions, events, and customer engagement initiatives within the Organisation.

Job Requirements

  • Certificate, Diploma, or relevant training in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service role.
  • Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and café operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
