About the Job

Bidco Africa is a leading manufacturer of edible oils, soaps, detergents, and edible fats in Kenya. We are seeking to hire a qualified Beekeeper to manage our apiary operations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain apiaries.
  • Inspect hives regularly for health, pests, and diseases.
  • Manage bee colonies, including swarm prevention and queen rearing.
  • Harvest honey and other bee products.
  • Maintain records of hive production, health, and treatments.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the bees.
  • Operate and maintain beekeeping equipment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Beekeeper.
  • Knowledge of bee biology, behavior, and diseases.
  • Familiarity with beekeeping equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • A valid driver's license is an added advantage.

This is a full-time position based in Mau Narok.
