Biomedical Engineer

Positions: 10
Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring the availability, safety, functionality, maintenance, and effective use of medical equipment and biomedical systems within the medical center.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain medical equipment.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults.
- Maintain accurate equipment maintenance records.
- Coordinate equipment servicing and repairs.
- Support procurement and evaluation of medical equipment.
- Verify equipment specifications and functionality.
- Train healthcare staff on safe and appropriate equipment use where required.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend replacements or upgrades.
- Ensure equipment maintenance complies with applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain an updated inventory of biomedical equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Relevant professional registration where applicable.
- Practical knowledge of medical equipment maintenance.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
