Job Summary:

A leading animal feed and agribusiness company in Kenya is seeking a hands-on and experienced Breeder Farm Manager to oversee all breeder farm operations, ensuring optimum flock health, biosecurity, fertility, hatchability, and production performance while leading farm teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all day-to-day breeder farm operations.
  • Overseeing breeder flock health, nutrition, welfare, and production.
  • Maximising egg production, fertility, and hatchability.
  • Ensuring strict biosecurity and disease prevention protocols are maintained.
  • Supervising, training, and developing farm employees.
  • Monitoring production KPIs including mortality, feed conversion, fertility, and hatchability.
  • Coordinating vaccination and veterinary programmes.
  • Maintaining accurate production and performance records.
  • Driving continuous operational improvements while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and agricultural regulations.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Animal Science, Poultry Production, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Willingness to relocate and work in Kenya.
  • 3-5 years hands-on commercial breeder farm management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of breeder flock management, nutrition, biosecurity, fertility, and hatchability.
  • Experience managing Ross 308, Lohmann Brown, Cobb, or Hy-Line breeder programmes will be advantageous.
  • Proven leadership, organisational, and people management skills within a commercial poultry operation.
