Position Summary:

The role holder will be responsible for driving MSME business growth at the assigned branch through customer acquisition, retention, and relationship management in order to meet clients’ financial needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth & Portfolio Management

  • Drive MSME business growth through acquisition of lending and deposit opportunities from new and existing clients.
  • Build and maintain strong advisory relationships to acquire profitable customers and deliver tailored financial solutions.
  • Grow and manage the MSME portfolio by analyzing opportunities and ensuring profitability and quality of business.
  • Strengthen customer engagement through regular interactions, structured meetings, accurate records, and cross-selling of bank products.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships while providing market insights and feedback to improve products and strategies.

Credit Management

  • Review and assess loan applications, including customer requirements, financial analysis, and necessary due diligence such as visits and reference checks.
  • Analyze applications and provide appropriate recommendations for approval while ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
  • Follow up on loan processes, communicate decisions to customers, and coordinate to ensure all conditions are met for disbursement.

Customer Experience

  • Maintain strong customer relationships by promoting bank products, cross-selling, and ensuring timely resolution of queries and complaints within agreed service levels.
  • Safeguard customer confidentiality while collaborating with branch and head office teams to deliver a seamless and positive customer experience.

Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, bank policies, risk frameworks, and operational procedures, including KYC and anti-money laundering standards.
  • Manage and monitor risks while ensuring completeness and accuracy of customer documentation and supporting daily branch operations.
  • Support the Branch Management on day-to-day branch operations as per the Bank Policies and Procedures.
  • Support business effectiveness through reporting, market awareness, teamwork in marketing initiatives, and carrying out any additional duties assigned by management.

Qualification, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution.
  • Over Two (2) years’ work experience in a sales role from a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of Banking laws and regulations and Banking operations
  • Knowledge of Risk Management and Compliance
  • Highly analytical and ability to challenge status quo based on quantitative facts and impacts
  • Ability to build consensus and influence various stakeholders across all NBK departments.
