Madison Group Limited is a locally owned financial services holding company that specializes in Insurance and wealth management services. The Group comprises of Madison Life Assurance Kenya Limited, Madison General Insurance Kenya Limited, and Madison Investment Managers Limited. Madison Life Assurance Kenya was originally incorporated under Kenyan Laws in 1988 as Madison Insurance Company Limited (MICK) after a successful merger between Crusader Plc (1974) and Kenya Commercial Insurance Corporation.

Assistant Business Development Manager

The Assistant Business Development positions will be located at the Company’s Head Office. They will report to the Head of Business Development and will be responsible for assisting to drive the Business Development Strategy of the Company.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the Implementation of the Business Development Strategy of the Company;
  • Assist to Develop new market opportunities to growth client numbers and portfolio size;
  • Enhance the current fund portfolio by growing client wallet share;
  • Provide leadership to the Business Development staff and sales distribution channels to achieve budgets;
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of the Marketing and Sales Strategy;
  • Drive the Sales Objectives and the Channels.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business in a related field; post graduate qualifications in marketing, Sales, CISI would be an added advantage;
  • Training and Experience in sales and marketing;
  • Considerable work experience in sales management, preferably in the Fund Management and Banking Sectors with demonstrated team management
  • A high degree of maturity and self-drive;
  • Capacity to build business relationships and drive sales;
  • Appropriate leadership and communication skills.

2 Business Development Officer

The business development officers will be located at the Company’s Head Office in Madison House. They will report to the Assistant Business Development Manager and work closely with other team members in order to maximize business generation.

Key responsibilities

  • Driving sales volumes and new growth across all Madison investment product offerings in a systematic manner, especially in the Unit Trust business.
  • Conversion of high net worth and corporate clients is key.
  • Driving and converting sales to clients in your current portfolio.
  • Establishing and maintaining regular contact with current and prospective clients.
  • Dealing effectively and expeditiously with queries and complaints from clients & intermediaries thus enhancing client trust and retention.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business in a related field; any relevant marketing credentials are an added advantage
  • A passion for selling investment products/promoting investment literacy.
  • Excellent appreciation of customer needs, an ability to match that need to investment solutions as provided by Madison Investments current products or advice on potential solutions.
  • Considerable experience and a demonstrable track record in closure of business development targets in their historical work experience.
