We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Intern to join our growing team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in promoting technology solutions, identifying new business opportunities, engaging prospective clients, and supporting strategic growth initiatives within a fast-paced software development environment.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Assess market trends and competitor activities to devise strategies.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients.
  • Research and analyze market conditions and opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close deals with potential clients and partners.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project execution.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Identify new and follow up business opportunities for the organization

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology (BBIT), Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market trends and customer needs to identify business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.

Experience needed

  • Proven experience in the sale and marketing of IT software solutions will be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience as a Technical IT Sales Representative or in a similar technology-focused sales role will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in preparing, coordinating, and managing Request for Proposals (RFPs), tender responses, and bid documentation will be an added advantage

Skills and competencies

  • Demonstrate excellent speaking, writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work
