Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills): Academic Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Business related field.
• First level university degree in any of the following discipline from an accredited University/College: Commerce (marketing option), Business management, Engineering Business Administration, Economics or equivalent qualification combined with the required work experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree.

Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies:
• Membership to a professional body; Marketing Society of Kenya or Chartered Institute of Marketers or any other related field.
• Undertaken a Strategic Leadership/Management course lasting not less than six (6) months from a recognized institution
• Proficiency in Computer applications.
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Previous relevant work experience required:
• At least ten (10) years’ relevant work experience three (3) of which must have been at management level.
• Work experience in maritime industry in the formulation, review and implementation of business development policies and plans is desirable. International work experience in similar role will be an added advantage
