Job Summary
Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a driven Business Development Officer to support growth across its plastic packaging portfolio, with a strong focus on stackable crates and industrial packaging solutions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for expanding market share, building strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic sales of value-added products including IML (In-Mould Labelling) and stretch solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth of stackable crates and plastic packaging solutions
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities while growing existing accounts
- Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and follow-ups to close deals
- Manage and track sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance targets
- Provide excellent after-sales support and resolve customer issues promptly
- Gather and analyze market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and trends
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Deliver against assigned revenue, volume, and margin targets
- Promote and upsell IML and stretch packaging solutions where applicable
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in sales/business development within the plastic packaging industry
- Strong understanding of industrial packaging solutions
- Exposure to stackable crates / returnable packaging is highly desirable
- Experience with IML and/or stretch products is an added advantage

- Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
- Excellent customer relationship management
- Strong commercial acumen and market awareness
- Confident communication and presentation skills
- Results-driven, proactive, and target-oriented mindset
