Background

We are recruiting for a Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Executive. The industry is ESG & Sustainability Consulting.

Duties & Responsibilities

The role involves supporting the full business development cycle, from lead generation and qualification to proposal development and contract closure. Key responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across consulting, advisory, training, and academy offerings. The executive will be responsible for building and managing a strong sales pipeline and strategic partnerships, developing proposals, presentations, and tender submissions, and representing the organization at industry events and networking forums. Additionally, the role requires conducting market research and identifying growth opportunities, supporting client relationship management and partnership development, and contributing to brand visibility and thought leadership initiatives.

Required Specifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, Development Studies, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, fundraising, sales, or client relationship management is required. Experience in consulting, development, sustainability, impact investing, training, or professional services is considered an added advantage. Demonstrated experience in developing proposals, presentations, and business pitches is essential. Strong networking, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills are necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are expected. Knowledge of ESG, sustainability, climate, impact investing, or SME development is desirable.
