Background
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of our client in the global shipping industry, is recruiting a Business Intelligence Analyst to support commercial performance, revenue optimization, and strategic decision-making in the Mombasa region. This role sits at the intersection of finance, analytics, and commercial operations, helping the organization maximize vessel utilization, optimize cargo allocations, and strengthen revenue performance through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Voyage allocation and cargo mix optimization
- Revenue and financial performance analysis
- Volume forecasting and commercial reporting
- Market intelligence and competitor analysis
- CRM opportunity analysis and sales steering
- Equipment planning and capacity optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Maritime Studies
- 5+ years experience in shipping commercial operations, revenue management, or capacity planning
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities
- Experience with CRM systems and shipping line systems (FIS, COMPASS or similar)
- Strong understanding of trade lanes and allocation control
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 60
Level of Education: bachelor degree
