Background

The CBIT 11 KENYA PPG Consultant will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the CBIT project in Kenya. This role involves working closely with national stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of project activities and outputs. The consultant will contribute to capacity building initiatives and facilitate knowledge sharing on climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical assistance to the CBIT project team and national partners.
  • Support the development and implementation of capacity building activities.
  • Facilitate stakeholder consultations and workshops.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project reports and documentation.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, climate change, development studies, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in climate change projects, capacity building, or sustainable development.
  • Proven experience working with national governments and international organizations.
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Swahili is an asset.

Additional Information

This is a consultancy position. The consultant will be expected to work independently and as part of a team. Travel within Kenya may be required.
