Key Duties & Responsibilities
Installation and Configuration
- Install and configure both IP and analog CCTV cameras, NVRs, and DVRs.
- Lay and terminate fiber optic, coaxial, and Ethernet cables for data transmission.
- Assist in the setup of wireless links and remote monitoring systems.
- Perform site surveys to recommend optimal camera placement and coverage.
Maintenance, Repairs and Safety
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and repairs on all surveillance equipment.
- Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with safety and security protocols.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize surveillance network performance and reliability.
Troubleshooting and System Optimization
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to camera feeds, power supply, and connectivity.
- Work with the engineering team to optimize video quality and overall system performance.
- Identify and resolve technical issues timely to reduce system downtime.
Reports & Reporting
- Document all incidents, system downtimes, and troubleshooting activities.
- Provide regular reports on equipment status, maintenance activities, and system performance to management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance logs for future reference.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in CCTV installation and maintenance.
- Proficient with IP and analog systems, specifically Hikvision, Huawei, and Dahua.
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic splicing, structured cabling, and wireless transmission.
- Familiarity with networking principles (TCP/IP) and power backup systems like UPS and solar power.
- Certification in CCTV installation or networking is an added advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-security environments.
