JOB DETAILS:

Our client is a prestigious private beach home located in the heart of Watamu’s pristine coastline. They are looking for a skilled and personable Chef who will be responsible for curating and delivering exquisite meals in an intimate, luxury setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Menu Planning & Preparation: Design and execute diverse, high-quality meals tailored to guest preferences and dietary requirements
• Local Sourcing: Source fresh, local ingredients with emphasis on sustainability and seasonal availability from Watamu’s rich coastal resources
• Kitchen Management: Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to strict health and safety standards
• Culinary Innovation: Create and present meals with artistic flair and creativity to enhance the overall guest experience
• Inventory Control: Efficiently manage kitchen supplies, budget allocation, and inventory tracking
• Guest Relations: Provide warm, professional service with meticulous attention to detail and guest satisfaction

Requirements:

• Diploma in Culinary Arts or related training
• Minimum 5 yrs experience as a Chef, preferably in Exclusive Beach retreats.
• Proficiency in coastal cuisine, fusion, and international dishes
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Polite and professional demeanour with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Immediate availability

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: bachelor degree
