Background

The Nairobi Hospital is a leading healthcare institution in Kenya, committed to providing high-quality medical services. We are currently seeking to fill the position of Credit Officer to join our finance department.

Responsibilities

The Credit Officer will be responsible for managing patient accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key duties include:

  • Processing patient admissions and ensuring all necessary financial information is collected.
  • Monitoring outstanding patient balances and initiating collection procedures.
  • Liaising with insurance providers to verify coverage and process claims.
  • Reconciling patient accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Preparing regular reports on accounts receivable and collection activities.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in credit management, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong understanding of credit control principles and debt collection techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
