JOB DETAILS:
CASHIER / ACCOUNTANT
Job Summary
Responsible for handling financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring cash movements, and supporting accounting and financial-control activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer payments accurately.
- Issue receipts and maintain transaction records.
- Handle cash, card, mobile-money, and other approved payment methods.
- Reconcile daily sales and cash balances.
- Prepare daily cash and sales reports.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities where required.
- Monitor expenses and ensure transactions are properly authorized.
- Identify and report discrepancies or unusual transactions.
- Support stock and revenue reconciliation.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field depending on level of responsibility.
- Previous cashiering or accounting experience.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of integrity.
- Knowledge of accounting/POS systems is an advantage.

Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: high school
