JOB DETAILS:

Position: Cashier
Industry: Hospitality / Restaurant

Job Summary:
The Cashier will process customer payments accurately, maintain transaction records, and provide professional customer service while ensuring proper handling and accountability of cash and other payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer bills and payments accurately.
• Receive cash, card, mobile money, or other approved payment methods.
• Issue receipts and provide correct change where applicable.
• Verify orders, prices, discounts, and applicable charges.
• Maintain accurate transaction records.
• Balance cash and payment records at the end of each shift.
• Handle customer enquiries and payment-related concerns professionally.
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
• Follow company procedures for cash handling and loss prevention.
• Coordinate with waitstaff, bar staff, kitchen staff, and management to resolve billing issues.

Requirements:

• KCSE certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Previous cashier or customer-service experience is an advantage.
• Basic computer/POS skills.
• Good numeracy and attention to detail.
• Honest, reliable, and responsible.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: high school
