Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspecting dining hall areas to ensure tables are adequately prepared for service.
- Obtaining menu cards and placing them on staff notice boards.
- Checking and maintaining stock levels of cutlery, crockery, and glassware and ensuring they are clean and ready for use.
- General organization and supervision of kitchen and catering services.
- Ensuring high standards of personal hygiene are maintained by staff.
- Requisitioning raw food and cleaning materials from the stores.
- Checking the quality and quantity of food supplies and equipment and ensuring food safety.
- Implementing work schedules.
Requirements – Direct Appointment
- Diploma in Institutional Management, Food Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least four (4) years' relevant work experience.
Requirements – Serving Officers
- Diploma in Institutional Management, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Served as Assistant Caterer/Cateress I, Scale KUC 4, for at least three (3) years.
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
