DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role
The Channel Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing strategic relationships with resellers, distributors, and technology partners across East Africa. This role is crucial in driving business growth by expanding market reach, increasing sales opportunities, and ensuring strong partner alignment with company objectives.
This role will report to the Country Manager
As The Channel Account Manager, You Will
- Identify, recruit, and develop new channel partners to expand the company's market presence.
- Conduct account mapping with partners to identify key customers, potential deals, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Work with product managers and marketing teams to roll out campaigns, promotions, and incentive programs for partners.
- Ensure smooth execution of business processes, deal registrations, and compliance with company policies.
- Identify key market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to drive new business opportunities.
- Take ownership of the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, opportunity development, and deal closure.

The Ideal Channel Account Manager
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in channel sales, account management, or partner management within the IT industry.
- Proven experience in managing reseller and distributor relationships.
- Strong knowledge of the Ethiopian IT market and channel ecosystem.
- Familiarity with vendor programs, incentives, and channel partner enablement strategies.
- Account Management: Strong ability to manage key accounts, track sales performance, and develop business strategies.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of pricing, margins, revenue targets, and profitability management.
