Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative Vegetarian Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality vegetarian and vegan meals while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare three-course breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, and drinks for sundowners.
• Clean up picnic baskets after sundowners or bush breakfasts.
• Create delicious and cost-effective recipes.
• Prepare a variety of juices, salads, appetizers, main meals, desserts, and pastries.
• Liaise with clients to understand dietary requirements and preferences.
• Demonstrate fluency in multi-cuisines, with a focus on vegetarian and vegan food.
• Cook different foods using various cooking styles.
• Source specialist ingredients and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Prepare meals in a timely manner and ensure proper plating and serving.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or any related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
• Candidates from Naru Moru, Nyeri, Isiolo, or neighboring areas will have an added advantage.

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: associate degree
