JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
The Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality meals while ensuring consistency, food safety, and efficient kitchen operations. The role requires strong culinary expertise, creativity, and leadership in delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present meals according to approved recipes and quality standards.
- Plan daily food production and coordinate kitchen activities.
- Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff and delegate duties where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor food inventory and minimize wastage.
- Assist in menu development and seasonal specials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or a related field.
- Food Handler's Certificate.
- Professional culinary certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Relevant experience in a busy restaurant or hotel kitchen.
