We are seeking a qualified and dedicated candidate for the following position.
LOCATION: BUSIA
Overall Responsibility
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and ensuring quality nursing care, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance management within the Nursing Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as the lead clinical nurse and Director of Nursing Services, overseeing all nursing operations.
- Ensures adherence to nursing policies, standards, and best practices in patient care.
- Organizes, directs, and administers nursing services to meet required medical and nursing standards.
- Collaborates with administration, HR, and finance in budgeting for personnel, supplies, and equipment.
- Manage cost controls to ensure effective utilization of departmental budgets.
- Oversees staff selection, work assignments, performance appraisals, and professional development.
- Leads quality assessment, performance improvement, and communicates key nursing issues to administration.
- Recommend facility and equipment improvements and ensure that nurses have reasonable working conditions.
- Maintains positive relationships with patients, families, and the community while supporting educational initiatives.
- Participates in policymaking, administrative meetings, audits, and handling patient complaints.
- Any other duty as may be assigned.
Job Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- BLS/ACLS Certification.
- Certificate in Quality Improvement (added advantage).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong management and supervisory skills.
- Good understanding of the Kenyan healthcare system.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
