Role Purpose;
The Chief People Officer is responsible for defining and executing the group-wide people and corporate services mandate, ensuring alignment between workforce strategy, organisational design, governance, and business performance.
The role carries end-to-end accountability for human capital leadership, corporate administration, facilities, and organisational development, and acts as a key partner to the President and venture leadership teams in driving transformation and execution discipline.
Scope of Role
The role provides oversight across:
- All operating ventures within the group
- Shared corporate services including:
- Human Resources
- Facilities & Administration
- Legal & Compliance (where delegated)
- Corporate Communications
- Organisational Development
- Group-wide transformation and change initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & People Leadership
- Lead the corporate services strategy, integrating HR, administration, facilities, and communications into a cohesive group framework
- Shape the group’s workforce environment, covering workforce planning, performance management, leadership development, and succession
- Drive organisational transformation, restructuring, and operating-model alignment in collaboration with the President and venture leaders
People & Human Capital Leadership
- Own and execute the People & Culture strategy across the group
- Design and implement performance management, reward, and recognition frameworks
- Lead executive and leadership capability development through structured learning, coaching, and succession programs
- Ensure HR policy harmonisation and compliance with labour laws while fostering engagement, inclusion, and accountability
Corporate Administration, Facilities & Governance Alignment
- Oversee administration and facilities management with a focus on cost efficiency, safety, and workplace productivity
- Supervise legal and compliance functions to uphold internal policy and governance standards, in collaboration with legal advisors
- Ensure alignment and integration between HR, Finance, and IT processes across ventures
- Oversee facilities, logistics, and site administration to ensure operational efficiency and risk control
Key Deliverables;
- Launch and institutionalisation of a Leadership Development & Succession Program
- Standardised HR, payroll, and facilities operations across ventures (ERP-enabled)
- Workplace well-being and engagement framework with measurable KPIs
- Corporate administration and facilities optimisation plan
- Effective change management support for integrations and restructuring initiatives

- Strong grounding in corporate governance, labour law, and compliance
- High emotional intelligence, executive presence, and coaching capability
Authority & Accountability;
- Full functional authority over all corporate service functions and associated venture leads
- Budgetary oversight for HR, administration, and facilities within approved allocations
- Authority to issue corporate policies, circulars, and guidance within scope (subject to Presidential endorsement)
- Accountability for compliance, culture, service delivery, and people KPIs across the group
Qualifications & Requirements;
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Law, or a related field; Master’s degree (HR, MBA, Organizational Development, Leadership) preferred
- 12+ years of progressive experience in human capital or corporate services, with 5+ years at executive or C-suite level within complex, multi-entity organisations
- Proven leadership of group-wide or shared-services people functions, including workforce planning, organisational design, performance management, and succession
- Strong working knowledge of labour law, corporate governance, compliance, and HR policy harmonisation
- Experience leading organisational transformation, change management, and executive leadership development
- Hands-on exposure to HRIS / ERP implementations and cross-functional integration (HR, Finance, IT)
- High emotional intelligence, executive presence, and strong stakeholder management skills
