The fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be at the heart of shaping Vivo Fashion Group’s future by creating and driving a technology strategy that empowers growth, improves operations, and sparks innovation. This role goes beyond just managing systems – it’s about using technology as a tool to help the company achieve its goals. While projects like implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system will be part of the role, the CTO’s work is much broader, focusing on building a strong technological foundation that supports the business today and in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Defining the long-term IT vision, aligning technology with business objectives, and identifying necessary technology investments.
  • Collaboration with Business Units: Working closely with other departments to understand their needs and identify technology solutions that support their goals.
  • IT Infrastructure Management: Overseeing the entire IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, data centres, and applications, to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Cybersecurity: Implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data from threats.
  • Application Development and Management: Overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of applications used across the organisation.
  • IT Budget Management: Managing the IT budget, allocating funds for projects, and ensuring cost-effective utilisation of resources.
  • IT Staff Leadership: Recruiting, developing, and managing the IT team.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiating contracts with technology vendors and managing relationships.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensuring IT regulations and industry standards adherence.
  • Change Management: Implementing new technologies and processes while minimising disruption to business operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience leading an ICT department, preferably in the fashion industry or a related sector.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Certifications in project management, ERP systems, or IT governance frameworks (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are desirable.
  • Deep understanding of the latest technologies and their application in enhancing business operations and customer experience.
  • Experience in international business expansion and managing IT operations across different countries.
  • Experience in overseeing an ERP system implementation.
