JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose:

To maintain a clean, sterile, and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors in wards, corridors, and offices.
• Empty and dispose of waste bins, segregating hazardous waste.
• Clean and sanitize washrooms and toilets regularly.
• Dust surfaces, furniture, and medical equipment (non-clinical).
• Report any maintenance issues (leaks, broken fixtures) to the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum KCPE certificate; ability to read and write.
• Previous cleaning experience (in a healthcare setting is an added advantage).
• Physically fit for manual work.
• Knowledge of infection prevention principles is a plus.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: high school
