Responsibilities or duties
Is responsible for providing patient care by diagnosing and treating patients, providing preventive care, and managing common medical and surgical conditions, participating in public health initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Academic qualification:
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
- Registered with Clinical Officers Council and MUST possess a valid practicing license
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Experience needed
At least One (1) year post-internship experience in either a public or private hospital
Over one (1) year working experience working ideally in a busy health facility
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
Knowledge of non-communicable diseases (NCD) management is key
Desirable competencies
- Excellent clinical skills
- Required to be team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment, displaying resilience, compassion and diplomacy
- Active team player with good interpersonal skills
- Good analytical skills
- Self-initiative
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Proficient computer skills for data entry, analysis, and report generation.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with the medical team and patient interaction.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize workload.
