Pearl Hospital is a Level 4 multi-specialty hospital in Laikipia County. Guided by our values of Quality, Efficiency, Professionalism, and Compassion, we are seeking a Clinical Officer to provide quality medical care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients in accordance with established clinical guidelines and protocols.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Conduct patient consultations including history taking and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage common medical conditions.
  • Prescribe and administer appropriate treatment and medications.
  • Order and interpret laboratory diagnostic tests.
  • Provide emergency and first-line care to patients.
  • Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.
  • Support implementation of hospital policies and clinical guidelines.
  • Perform minor medical and surgical procedures within scope of practice

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Diploma or Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
  • Registered and licensed by the Clinical Officers Council (COC)
  • Valid practicing license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is an added advantage .

Experience needed

  • At least 1-2 years of relevant clinical experience (internship included)

  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Good communication and patient care skills
  • Ethical and professional conduct
  • Decision-making and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Teamwork and collaboration
