Clinical Officers

Provides primary clinical care, diagnosis, and treatment for pediatric patients.

• Outpatient and Inpatient Care: Take comprehensive histories, perform physical examinations, diagnose, and treat common pediatric ailments at both outpatient and inpatient facilities.
• Laboratory and Imaging Interpretation: Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging investigations to support clinical decision-making.
• Minor Surgical Procedures: Carry out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill level.
• Community Health Liaison: Implement community health care activities, sensitizing patients on preventive and promotive health.
• Patient Referral: Identify and refer patients with complex conditions to Medical Officers or Consultant Paediatricians.
• Data Collection: Collect and compile clinical data for medical records and reporting.
