System Implementation & Maintenance: Implement, configure, and maintain electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical software. Workflow Analysis: Analyze clinical workflows to identify inefficiencies and design system improvements and new processes. Data Management: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of clinical data, including performing audits and troubleshooting data-related issues. User Training: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for healthcare professionals on system use and best practices. Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for end-users, resolving problems reported via ticketing systems. Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports, develop dashboards, and analyze clinical data to identify trends and support decision-making. Liaison & Collaboration: Act as a liaison between clinical departments, IT staff, and software vendors to solve system problems and facilitate project implementation. Compliance: Ensure systems and processes comply with healthcare regulations and data confidentiality standards. Documentation: Create and maintain system documentation, including user manuals, operating instructions, and policies.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing and supporting clinical information systems, such as EHRs, and a strong understanding of software development, testing, and data management. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex operational processes, identify trends in clinical data, and determine root causes of system issues. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to effectively interact with clinical staff, IT, and vendors. Clinical Knowledge: A solid understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and the needs of healthcare providers. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy, system functionality, and compliance with regulations. Project Management: Ability to participate in project management activities and manage issues and risks to ensure successful system implementations. Adaptability: Ability to stay current with new technologies and adapt to changing healthcare environments.
