Our Axmates are dedicated to pioneering breakthroughs that transform lives, and increase access to pharmaceutical products across Low and Middle Income Countries. We are recruiting passionate and fearless team members, so join us in our mission ...

Role Context

We’re hiring a Commercial Operations Partner to help our commercial team operate with clarity, discipline, and scalability. This role sits at the centre of our commercial engine. You will ensure the pipeline is accurate, activity is visible, and decisions are grounded in facts. Beyond running core processes, you’ll identify friction, reduce manual work, and introduce lightweight automation that improves consistency and efficiency as we grow. This is an associate-level role for someone with 2+ years of experience who is comfortable being direct, holding others accountable to agreed standards, and strengthening systems over time. You should enjoy turning messy workflows into structured, repeatable processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Governance & Weekly Review
    • Run and continuously improve the weekly pipeline review
    • Set the agenda and keep discussions focused on facts, risks, and next steps
    • Challenge unclear or inconsistent updates
    • Capture decisions and circulate same-day action notes with owners and deadlines
    • Follow up to ensure commitments are completed
    • Refine meeting inputs and reporting as pipeline volume scales
  • CRM Ownership, Data Discipline & Automation
    • Maintain a clear, accurate internal view of pipeline status, ownership, and next steps
    • Ensure stages, required fields, and key properties are complete and up to date
    • Prevent duplicates and resolve inconsistencies
    • Enforce CRM best practices and redirect off-system activity back into the CRM
    • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, reminders, field updates, and reporting
    • Propose and implement workflow automation within HubSpot (or equivalent) to improve consistency
    • Strengthen CRM structure to reduce manual intervention over time
  • Commercial Insights & Decision Support
    • Review dashboards and exports to identify trends, risks, and inefficiencies
    • Produce concise insight notes outlining what’s happening, why it matters, and recommended action
    • Reconcile reporting discrepancies and align stakeholders around a single source of truth
    • Improve dashboards and reporting logic to increase visibility and reduce manual analysis
  • Commercial Execution Support
    • Support lead research and list building based on defined commercial criteria
    • Assist in refining outreach emails and sequences
    • Ensure all leads, activities, and responses are accurately captured in the CRM
    • Identify patterns in outreach performance and recommend optimisation
    • Introduce simple automation to streamline outreach tracking and follow-ups
  • Scaling Commercial Operations
    • Identify manual work, bottlenecks, or recurring issues that won’t scale
    • Propose and implement lightweight fixes (process changes, templates, automation, clearer definitions)
    • Document and reinforce standard ways of working
    • Reduce operational dependency on ad hoc spreadsheets or off-system tracking

Qualifications or Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial operations, revenue operations, or business operations within a technology organization
  • Strong CRM proficiency (HubSpot preferred), including workflow automation
  • Experience using automation tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n or similar
  • Strong Excel skills (analysis, reconciliation, structured reporting)
  • Experience in improving processes and reducing manual operational work
  • Comfort working with structured data and improving reporting logic
  • Clear written communication and ability to translate analysis into action
  • Confidence to challenge inconsistencies and enforce standards
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scaling startup environment
