ROLE SUMMARY

This role supports PS Kenya’s communication activities by delivering timely, consistent, and high-quality content across digital platforms, campaigns, and internal channels. It focuses on capturing and showcasing the organization’s impact through compelling visual and written storytelling, including photography, video, and digital content, while supporting the execution of communication campaigns and audience engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Capture high-quality photos and videos during field visits, events, and program activities.
  • Edit and produce engaging video and visual content for digital platforms and campaigns.
  • Support content production, including scripting, filming, photography, and postproduction editing.
  • Develop, schedule, and publish social media content with strong visual storytelling.
  • Write articles, impact stories, and field stories to support organizational storytelling.
  • Track social media performance and recommend improvements for engagement.
  • Support website updates to ensure fresh, relevant content.
  • Support internal communications and timely dissemination of updates.
  • Assist in event planning and coordination, including communications coverage.
  • Support administrative processes (RQs, payments, reconciliations).

What you’ll bring:

  • Degree and/or Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in communications, PR, or a content creation role.
  • Experience creating digital content, including social media, video, or photography.
  • Experience in an NGO or donor-funded environment is an added advantage.
  • A portfolio or links to previous work will be an added advantage.

You’re a great fit if you have:

  • Strong photography and videography skills.
  • Proficiency in video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar)
  • Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools)
  • A strong eye for visual storytelling and content creation
  • Experience managing social media platforms and analyzing performance
  • Strong writing skills for digital and storytelling content
  • Ability to manage multiple content streams and deadlines
