The overall purpose of the job is to manage and implement the school's communication strategy in liaison with the marketing and communications lead while ensuring clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including students, parents, staff, potential clients and the wider community.

  • Regularly analyse data and prepare comprehensive reports e.g. social media management and outdoor marketing campaigns to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and inform future strategies.
  • Establish and maintain an up-to-date alumni database to foster ongoing engagement and support to be utilized for networking opportunities, fundraising campaigns, and alumni events.
  • Liaise with the marketing and communications lead to procure marketing materials, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review and edit newsletters produced by the school to ensure they are engaging, accurate, and aligned with the organization's marketing guidelines.
  • Maintain and update the organization's website to ensure that it remains current, visually appealing, and user-friendly.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications lead to develop and manage budgets for marketing initiatives, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Provide support in capturing high-quality photos during school events and activities for use in marketing materials, social media channels and the organization's website.
  • Assist in coordinating departmental activities, ensuring that they are well-planned and do not conflict.
  • Design and administer market surveys to gather feedback from stakeholders, including students, parents, alumni and staff, to inform marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries received via the school info email and social media accounts, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Take up part in developing and executing social media strategies across all social media platforms to increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Produce compelling content for all the communication channels, including social media posts, blogs, press releases, and email newsletters.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities for growth; analyse the data and insights to inform strategic decision making.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned to the jobholder by the supervisor from time to time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong editing, proofreading and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) or any other related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a communications role (experience in an educational institution is an added advantage).
  • Membership in either CIM, MSK, or KIM.
  • Experience in content writing, digital communication and stakeholder engagement.
