Community Health Assistant

Positions: 10
Job Summary
Responsible for supporting community-based healthcare activities, health education, disease prevention, patient follow-up, and linkage between the community and the medical center.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct community health education and awareness activities.
- Support disease prevention, screening, and health-promotion initiatives.
- Identify and refer individuals requiring medical attention.
- Conduct patient and household follow-ups as assigned.
- Support maternal, child, and community health programs.
- Collect and maintain accurate community health information.
- Promote healthy practices within the community.
- Assist with outreach and community medical activities.
- Work closely with nurses, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Prepare reports on community activities and patient follow-ups.
Requirements
- Relevant Community Health qualification recognized in Kenya.
- Appropriate registration/licensing where applicable.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of community health practices.
- Ability to work effectively within the community.
