Verst Carbon Limited is recruiting short-term consultants and field personnel for a nature-based project in Kenya. These are part-time, assignment-based engagements, with roles expected to commence at various points between September and December 2026

7. Community Liaison / Facilitators

Role Overview: The Community Liaison acts as the primary bridge between the project technical teams and the local villages, ensuring clear communication and cultural sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Mobilization: Organize community meetings, awareness campaigns, and workshops to explain the goals and activities of the carbon project.

Translation & Interpretation: Provide cultural and linguistic translation between technical staff and local community members, ensuring technical jargon is simplified.

Field Support: Accompany field teams to ensure safe access to communal lands and manage local expectations regarding land use.

Data Collaboration: Facilitate the inclusion of local ecological knowledge into the project's land-use planning process.

Conflict Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for community members regarding questions or tensions, resolving minor disputes at the village level.

Feedback Collection: Collect feedback from communities regarding project implementation and communicate these insights back to the project management team for adaptive management.
