JOB DETAILS:

Job Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and hospitality standards. The role supports efficient kitchen operations by ensuring food quality, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Assist in menu preparation and food production as directed.

Kitchen Operations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
• Monitor food inventory and report stock shortages.
• Minimize food wastage through proper storage and handling.

Health & Safety

• Comply with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Teamwork

• Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
• Assist with kitchen setup and closing procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality establishment.
