Job summary

The Core Banking Support & Implementation Engineer is responsible for end-to-end system implementation,technical support,customization,and continuous improvement of core banking solutions.The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders,developers,and clients to ensure seamless deployment, performance, and enhancement of banking app

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Core Banking Implementation

  • Execute end-to-end implementation of core banking systems at client sites (on-premise/cloud).
  • Configure, customize, and parameterize solutions based on business requirements.
  • Conduct system testing, integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Perform data migration, validation, and system setup activities.
  • Integrate core banking systems with third-party applications (APIs, payment gateways, switches, etc.).
  • Support go-live activities and stabilization post-deployment.

2. Technical Support & Issue Resolution

  • Provide Level 1–3 support for core banking applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve application, database, and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Monitor and resolve incidents through ticketing systems within defined SLAs.
  • Apply patches, upgrades, and hotfixes as required.
  • Escalate complex issues to development teams and ensure closure.

3. System Monitoring & Maintenance

  • Monitor system health, performance, uptime, and security.
  • Perform routine maintenance, backups, and disaster recovery drills.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and security standards.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization measures.

4. Requirements Analysis & Solution Support

  • Gather and analyze business and system requirements from stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
  • Support solution design in collaboration with developers and architects.
  • Validate system functionality against business requirements.

5. Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Participate in UAT and ensure successful business sign-off.
  • Ensure quality and reliability of system releases.

6. Customer Training & Documentation

  • Prepare user manuals, SOPs, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and administrators.
  • Provide post-implementation support and knowledge transfer.

7. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Act as a bridge between business users, clients, and technical teams.
  • Participate in project planning, deployments, and change management.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage requirement changes and align expectations.

8. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.
  • Improve implementation and support processes.
  • Suggest product enhancements based on customer feedback.
  • Contribute to automation and process optimization initiatives.
