JOB PURPOSE: To strengthen community engagement, support public health and emergency response initiatives, increase household registrations, build stakeholder partnerships, and promote Ambulex products and services within assigned counties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Engagement & Awareness

• Conduct community sensitization on:
  • Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention
  • Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
  • Maternal and child health emergencies
  • Mental health emergencies
  • First aid
  • Emergency preparedness
  • Community safety

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with:
  • Nyumba Kumi Clusters
  • Chiefs
  • Assistant Chiefs
  • Village Elders
  • Community Health Promoters (CHPs)
• Increase community participation and uptake of programs.

Registration & Outreach

• Organize and coordinate household registration drives.
• Conduct community outreach activities.
• Ensure continuous growth in registered households within assigned counties.
• Maintain accurate household registration records.

Product & Service Promotion

• Promote utilization of Ambulex products and services among communities.

Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with:
  • County governments
  • Health facilities
  • NGOs
  • Community-Based Organizations (CBOs)
  • Faith-based organizations
  • Community leaders

Partnership Development

• Participate in county stakeholder forums and community meetings.
• Support implementation of partnerships involving NGOs and Nyumba Kumi Clusters.

Protection & Referral Services

• Support identification and referral of:
  • GBV survivors
  • Vulnerable households

Community Intelligence & Reporting

• Track community engagement activities and outcomes.
• Provide community intelligence and insights that support scale and growth.
• Maintain updated databases of stakeholders and community structures.

Emergency Awareness

• Support emergency awareness campaigns and public education activities.
• Promote survivor-centered approaches in community engagements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education

Applicants must possess a Diploma or Degree in any of the following fields:

• Public Health
• Community Health
• Social Work
• Nursing
• Community Development
• Gender Studies
• Sociology
• Development Studies
• Health Promotion
• Any related field

Experience

Required:

• Minimum two (2) years' experience in:
  • Community mobilization
  • Health promotion
  • Public health programs

Added Advantage:

• Previous experience as a Community Health Promoter (CHP).
• Experience working with:
  • County governments
  • NGOs
  • CBOs
  • Community structures

Preferred:

• Experience in:
  • Sales
  • Community outreach
  • Household mobilization

• Diploma or Degree in Public Health, Community Health, Social Work, Nursing, Community Development, Gender Studies, Sociology, Development Studies, Health Promotion, or any related field.
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in community mobilization, health promotion, or public health programs.
• Previous experience as a Community Health Promoter (CHP) is an added advantage.
• Experience working with county governments, NGOs, CBOs, and community structures is an added advantage.
• Experience in sales, community outreach, and household mobilization is preferred.
