JOB DETAILS:
Pursuant to the provisions of the County Government Act No 17 of 2012 Section 35 and 36 The Office of the Governor would like to invite applications from highly qualified results oriented and motivated Kenyan citizens for appointment to the following positions;

Terms of service - Contract
Salary: As prescribed by the SRC
The position will be as follow
County Executive Committee Member - Lands Physical Planning and Urban Development

Duties and Responsibilities
1. To supervise the administration and delivery of services in the respective department of the county government and decentralized units and agencies in the county
2. Implement county legislation.
3. Manage and coordinate the functions of the county administration and its department.
4. Provide the county assembly with regular reports on matters relating to the department.
5. May advice the Governor on matters within his/her docket

Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this position, the person should:
1. Be a Kenya citizen.
2. Be in possession of a first degree, relevant to the portfolio one is applying for from a recognized university in Kenya.
3. Have knowledge, experience and distinguished career of not less than five (5) years in the field relevant to the portfolio of the department to which the person is seeking to be considered.
4. Understand the diversity, challenges, and opportunities in the county.
5. Be a visionary and strategic thinker
6. Have the capacity to work and meet strict deadlines.
7 Have the ability to work in a multi ethnic and multicultural environment with respect for diversity.
8. Be conversant with the Kenyan constitution and other devolution laws.
9. Satisfy the requirements of the chapter six of the constitution.
