Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our team. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of potential borrowers, analyzing financial data, and making recommendations on loan applications. This role is crucial in managing credit risk and ensuring the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
The Credit Analyst will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess the credit risk of loan applicants.
- Prepare detailed credit reports and present findings and recommendations to the credit committee.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with credit policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit lending.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or a related role within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, ratio analysis, and credit scoring models.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
