About MSF

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international humanitarian medical non-governmental organization. MSF provides impartial medical assistance to people affected by conflict and violence, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare in accordance with our principles of neutrality, independence, and impartiality.

The Role

MSF is seeking to recruit a Customer Service Intern to support the communications department. The intern will be responsible for handling inquiries from the public, donors, and media, and providing information about MSF's work.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and social media in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide accurate information about MSF's projects, mission, and values.
  • Escalate complex inquiries to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain customer records and update databases.
  • Assist in developing customer service materials and resources.
  • Contribute to team meetings and provide feedback for service improvement.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse individuals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of MSF's work is an added advantage.

Experience

No prior work experience is required, but an internship or volunteer experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.

Duration

This is a 6-month internship position.

Benefits

A monthly stipend will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the humanitarian sector.
