Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Research & MEL Systems Design & Implementation

  • Support the design, refinement, and implementation of research, monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks aligned to program and organizational strategy.
  • Contribute to the development and review of indicators, data collection tools, sampling approaches, and data management protocols, ensuring adherence to ethical research standards.
  • Support enumerator trainings and data collection activities.
  • Strengthen data quality assurance processes, including data validation, cleaning, and documentation.
  • Contribute to learning agendas and support the synthesis of evidence to inform program improvement.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data from multiple programs to assess program performance, outcomes, and impact.
  • Conduct routine and ad hoc analyses to support program teams, leadership, and donor reporting needs.
  • Support the preparation of Research and MEL reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings and insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a social science discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience (at least 3-5 years) in research and MEL design, data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience working with program or research data in education, development, or social impact contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience in using mobile-based data collection platforms, including ODK, Kobo Collect.
  • Ability to clean, manage, and analyze large datasets with attention to data quality and accuracy.
  • Quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis skills, including expertise with two or more of the following analytical software packages: SPSS, STATA, NVivo, R, Python or Dedoose.
  • Experience designing, maintaining, and using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau).
  • Proven report writing skills.
