General Purpose
Our client, a well-established Manufacturing & Distribution Company, is seeking to recruit a Delivery Driver to support its logistics and distribution operations in ensuring timely, safe, and accurate delivery of goods to customers while upholding company standards and road safety regulations.
Location: Tilisi - Near Limiru Town | Gross Salary: Ksh. 29,800
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers, distributors, and retail outlets as per assigned delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products in accordance with company delivery plans and customer requirements.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring products are handled properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify delivery documentation, including delivery notes, invoices, and customer signatures, and ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and returned.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after trips, including checks on fuel, oil, brakes, lights, tyres, and general vehicle condition.
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents immediately to the supervisor or fleet manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the assigned vehicle at all times.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure fuel efficiency and timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, mileage logs, and fuel consumption reports.
- Assist with stock verification during loading and unloading to ensure correct quantities are delivered.
- Handle customer interactions professionally, representing the company positively at all times.
- Ensure safe custody of company goods, vehicle keys, fuel cards, and delivery documents.
- Support warehouse or logistics staff when required, including assisting with stock movement or preparation of deliveries.
Requirements & Qualifications
- KCSE average of D+ and above
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License (class C1) and all other applicable licenses
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a delivery driver in a busy manufacturing or distribution company
- Good knowledge of surrounding road networks and surrounding regions
