ABOUT RISELINK HR CONSULTANCY

Riselink HR Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading healthcare institution.

Job Purpose

Provide leadership and supervision of theatre services to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative patient care while maintaining compliance with clinical, infection prevention, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily theatre operations.
  • Ensure operating theatres are adequately staffed and equipped.
  • Oversee patient preparation before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.
  • Supervise theatre nurses and support staff.
  • Coordinate operating theatre schedules with surgeons and anesthetists.
  • Monitor the availability of surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables.
  • Participate in emergency surgical preparedness.
  • Conduct staff performance reviews, mentoring, and continuous professional development.
  • Monitor quality indicators and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare departmental reports and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
  • Registered and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
  • Specialized training in Perioperative/Theatre Nursing.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in theatre nursing, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
