ABOUT RISELINK HR CONSULTANCY
Riselink HR Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading healthcare institution.
Job Purpose
Provide leadership and supervision of theatre services to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative patient care while maintaining compliance with clinical, infection prevention, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily theatre operations.
- Ensure operating theatres are adequately staffed and equipped.
- Oversee patient preparation before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.
- Supervise theatre nurses and support staff.
- Coordinate operating theatre schedules with surgeons and anesthetists.
- Monitor the availability of surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables.
- Participate in emergency surgical preparedness.
- Conduct staff performance reviews, mentoring, and continuous professional development.
- Monitor quality indicators and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Prepare departmental reports and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
- Registered and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
- Specialized training in Perioperative/Theatre Nursing.
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in theatre nursing, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
