Purpose of the assignment

The main objective of this consultancy is to develop detailed least-cost electrification plans for Homabay, Murang’a, Siaya and Tharaka Nithi Counties using geospatial modelling tools for rural electrification access planning.

Specific objectives of the assignment

• Conduct comprehensive geospatial analysis to determine optimal electrification solutions
• Model different scenarios using LCEP tools for achieving universal electricity access
• Determine investment requirements for different technology options
• Develop detailed implementation roadmaps
• Support integration of results into the broader County Energy Plan
