Role Context

The Director, Strategic Delivery, Pan-African Programs will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and strategic delivery of the Foundation's programs across various African countries. This role requires a deep understanding of program management, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to achieving the Foundation's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of Pan-African programs.
  • Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with program partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor program progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure programs align with the Foundation's strategic objectives and impact goals.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to program teams.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of program strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Development, Public Policy, Business Administration).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in program management, with a significant portion focused on Pan-African development initiatives.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex programs in challenging environments.
  • Strong understanding of the African development landscape, including key sectors and challenges.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English and French is an asset.

Work Environment

This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya, and may involve travel across the continent.
