Role Context
The Director, Strategic Delivery, Pan-African Programs will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and strategic delivery of the Foundation's programs across various African countries. This role requires a deep understanding of program management, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to achieving the Foundation's mission.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of Pan-African programs.
- Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with program partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor program progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure programs align with the Foundation's strategic objectives and impact goals.
- Provide leadership and guidance to program teams.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of program strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Development, Public Policy, Business Administration).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in program management, with a significant portion focused on Pan-African development initiatives.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex programs in challenging environments.
- Strong understanding of the African development landscape, including key sectors and challenges.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English and French is an asset.
Work Environment
This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya, and may involve travel across the continent.
