Job Specification
Duties and Responsibilities of the officer will entail: -
- Drive a vehicle as authorized.
- Carry out routine checks on the vehicles cooling system, oil, electrical and brake systems, tire pressure etc.
- Detect malfunctioning of vehicle system.
- Maintain work tickets for vehicles assigned.
- Ensure security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road.
- Oversee safety of the passengers and/or goods therein; and
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: -
- KCSE mean grade D plain or equivalent qualification.
- Have Valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the officer is required to drive.
- Six (6) years driving experience
- Have Passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade I from the Ministry of Roads and Public Works.
- Have First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognized institution.
- General Computer Knowledge.
- Have Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya police; and
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
