French Embassy in Nairobi Hiring Driver
Responsibilities
To drive the Embassy’s fleet of vehicles for the deployment of diplomats, Embassy staff, and transportation of goods.
- Driving light vehicles – 4 x 4
- Keeping and monitoring vehicle logbooks
- Keeping and following up vehicle job cards for repair / maintenance
- Routine vehicle maintenance operations
Qualifications
KNOW-HOW
- Knowledge of road safety and transport regulation
- Compliance with road safety rules
- Ability to adapt to different situations during travel and missions
- Taking initiative in case of normal breakdowns while on duty
SKILLS
- Skilled driving
- Basic Mechanical skills
- Ability to read maps (including digital maps)
- Computer and internet literacy
- In-depth knowledge Nairobi’s geography
- Previous experience as a corporate driver is desirable
PERSONAL QUALITIES
- Skilled and composed
- Availability
- polite
- Discreet
- Team player
- Good interpersonal skills
Special Working Conditions
- Smart and properly dressed.
- Overtime, including nights and weekends, may be required.

Team : 5 drivers, under the authority of the technical supervisor of the Embassy.
