Background

The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of Water and Energy solutions in the region. The Group is Kenyan based and operates through a network of Kenyan branches as well as regional subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan, and DRC. The company has a total complement of over 800 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region. We seek one person who meets the criteria detailed below to fill the role of E-commerce / E-shop Marketer in the ICT team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end-to-end e-commerce growth strategies designed to increase retail sales, improve conversion rates, and expand the customer base across all regional e-shops.
  • Lead optimization of all Shopify stores, ensuring consistent structure, best-practice merchandising, and full utilization of Shopify marketing and automation features across every market.
  • Drive performance marketing across Google and social platforms, integrating catalogue feeds, social-commerce tools, and paid funnel strategies to generate high-quality traffic and measurable online sales.
  • Conduct continuous customer-behaviour and funnel analysis, applying A/B testing, CRO techniques, and SEO improvements to enhance traffic quality and increase purchase completion rates.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of dedicated e-commerce marketing experience, with a verifiable track record of driving substantial online sales revenue growth.
  • Advanced, hands-on knowledge of the Shopify or equivalent platform and its associated marketing applications; multi-store or multi-market setup experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven effective project management and collaboration abilities, especially when integrating with ICT, Product, and Frontline Sales teams.
  • Graphic design skills would be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in social media advertising and social-commerce tools (Meta Commerce Manager, TikTok Ads, catalogue management), with demonstrated ability to convert social traffic into sales.
  • Hold an Upper 2nd class honours degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, E-commerce, or a related commercial field from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in diverse digital marketing technologies and platforms, including Google Analytics (GA4), and possess a comprehensive grasp of online analytics and retail e-commerce Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Exhibit robust analytical skills with hands-on experience in data-focused aspects of digital marketing (including A/B testing, CRO, and marketing automation) to extract actionable, sales-driven insights.
