GENERAL PURPOSE

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking to recruit a proactive and highly motivated EHS Graduate Trainee to support the implementation and monitoring of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs within the organization. The successful candidate will assist in promoting workplace safety, environmental responsibility, compliance with safety regulations, and a strong safety culture across operations.

• Assist in conducting regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify workplace hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Support accident and incident investigations by analysing root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Help ensure electrical and fire appliances are accessible, gangways are properly marked, and waste segregation procedures are followed.
• Support implementation and review of EHS policies, procedures, safety manuals, and programs in compliance with DOSH requirements.
• Assist in enforcing proper use of PPEs by employees on the production floor.
• Help implement workplace hygiene standards to prevent contamination and occupational illnesses.
• Assist in coordinating EHS training and safety awareness programs for employees.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
• Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, training sessions, incident reports, and corrective actions.
• Assist in maintaining 5S audit inspection records and follow-up actions.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety violations and support enforcement of corrective actions.

• Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or a related field.
• Ability to identify workplace hazards and implement preventive measures.
• Knowledge of safety policies, emergency response, and hazard prevention practices.
