JOB PURPOSE

The Emergency Staff Nurse is responsible for providing immediate and high-quality nursing care to patients presenting inthe Emergency Department. This role involves rapid assessment, triage, and implementation of appropriate nursing interventions in urgent and life-threatening situations. The staff nurse collaborates closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, safe, and effective patient care.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)/Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN)
• Higher National Diploma in Kenya Registered Accident & Emmergency Nursing
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or must obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Valid License
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in emergency or acute care nursing
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent leadership, team coordination, and interpersonal communication
